  1. I've never really used much RW anything but now that I'm getting a DVD burner I may be interested. From what I understand CD-RW decrease in free space every time they are reused. Is the same true for DVD-RW/DVD+RW? How big of an decrease is there, if any?
    Thanks.

Never decreased in size with use for me!

Joking aside, the answer in no.

The reason why write once discs decrease in available space is because its write once. Burn 20mg to it and youve got that much less space left (not quite that simple, but for basic explanation purposes that's it).

Basically your rewritable is like your hard drive or floppy, clear the data off and youv'e got the storage space back.

Wouldn't be without my stack of rewritables, when your not sure how your DVD is going to play on your standalone. Much cheaper to try on a rewritable when your not sure or inexperienced, than burn a write once coaster and have to throw it in the bin.

Sorry, misread the bit that you mentioned cd-RW. Same reason though, should only be losing storage space if you're appending/adding, rather than erasing and starting again.

  4. The size of my CD-RWs and DVD+RWs remain the same!

And I just love working with them.
You stop me again whilst I'm walking and I'll cut your fv<king Jacob's off.
