Ntsc DVD to Pal Dvd-r?

I have a region 1 dvd and would like to back it up but as pal if poss because my main dvd standalone which has the dolby digital output is not region 1.

If I just rip and burn as no region it plays jerky on the main player but ok on the 2nd player and pc.

If it is possible to convert to pal I would be able to use the dolby digital soundtrack.

Any help would be great

converting ntsc to pal is a long and difficult proccess however i suspect that your problem is caursed by your standalone not liking the media you used try a different brand of media .... you will probably find your standalone will play fine with desent media
