    Everytime I try and burn a dvd-r with nero or recordnow max it crashes!
    It works with dvd+rw but everytime I try and burn it onto a dvd-r it crashes in the middle of burning.
    It is a pioneer 106 duel dvd writer. PLEASE HELP!!

    are you trying to do other tasks on your computer at the same time ... if so dont as it could be caursing a buffer underrun

    I have the exact same problem, tried to burn two DVD-R disc with Nero 6, both crashed.

    The two disc came with the Pioneer A06 (106), so I think they should work. The discs where Maxell 4x DVD-R.

    I later tried to burn the same data on a Verbatim DVD+RW and it worked fine!

    Any clues to solve this problem?
    Any help would be thankful!
