I recently flew with a DV camcorder, several DV tapes, and several of my homemade DVDs to show to friends and family. I asked both going and coming back if it was safe and both people told me digital tape and digital media are perfectly safe to go through their x-ray equipment. All of my stuff still works so I guess its safe to believe them.

  3. X-rays don't damage discs, but microwaves do.

Microwave ovens that is I've sent more than a few AOL disks through the cooker

And thanks Freestyler, you've been most helpful
Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?
