Kind of a stupid question i guess, but can written dvd-r's be damaged by the xray machines used at the airport to scan bags?? Just curious.

I recently flew with a DV camcorder, several DV tapes, and several of my homemade DVDs to show to friends and family. I asked both going and coming back if it was safe and both people told me digital tape and digital media are perfectly safe to go through their x-ray equipment. All of my stuff still works so I guess its safe to believe them.
