Meritline has a 20% off coupon available for all BeAll media.

  2. Its not really a sale. Its just a marketing technique where they set the prices really high and then deduct from it. I almost jumped on the offer when I saw it. Then I went over to Rima and saw that their regular price on a pack of BeAlls was still cheaper than Meritline's after their 20% off.

  3. Correct me if I am wrong, but the BeAll media at Rima is only 2x, whereas the media at Meritline is 4x...I got some from Meritline and they have worked great so far on my Pioneer 106...

  4. I was referring to the 2x BeAlls at both Rima and Meritline.

Where is the BeAll's coupon at Meritline? I tried to place an order for BeAlls but at the checkout the price was the same, no coupon.

    Thanks a lot, Rodfuji68!
But, where do I enter the coupon code? I see no place in the order to enter it.

You can't enter the coupon code until you get past the first stage or two of ordering. Don't worry, it's before your credit card gets charged and before your order is finalized. It's at the bottom of one of the order screens.

Thanks a lot, ebenton. I already ordered and entered the coupon code. I hear a lot about how good those BeAlls are.

Meritline charges UPS shipping---$6.10 on 25 disks.

cvrdvdrmedia.com has free USP ground shipping. I think it works out cheaper than Meritline.

IANAL but isn't that an illegal business practice? Maybe it's only illegal in some states.

BeAll prices on meritline have been much higher than other generic media(Ritek for example) for long time. Right now it has been dropped to a bit lower than Ritek, I would say it is completely legal promotion.

The 20%off coupon applies to all Beall media products

    Includes:
    BeAll 1x dvd-r
    BeAll 4x dvd-r
    BeAll 1x dvd-r white printable
    BeAll 4x dvd-r white printable
    BeAll 2.4x dvd+r
    BeAll 4x dvd+r
    BeAll 1x authoring dvd-r

Some of those are sold at our costs now.
Does Rima carry all of those?
Nope, they only carry BeAll 1x dvd-r, and they adjusted its price a bit lower than us AFTER they saw our promotion.

Not trying to change the focus of this thread but I am posting because Meritline chose to respond. A disclaimer here is that I have purchased from Meritline and have never had a problem.

I feel that the CDR wars and rebates that have been around for a couple of years are about to start for DVD+-R media. CDR's have been used in the past as lead in offers in order to get people into national chains (USA here).

My question is how will online providers like Meritline compete if these wars begin. Problems are obvious. At retail there are no shipping charges. And rebates can be compelling. I've never had a problem with rebates.

    Just food for thought.
