Not sure if this helps or not but I have the E50 and when I want to use the Flexible Recording mode I either use the button that says f Rec (I believe that is what it reads
) or I use the menu and select Flexible Recording and from there I can enter the amount of time I want to record onto a DVD select Start to begin recording from the source. Hope thats helps 8)
