    hi

    im trying to make a backup copy of my CASTAWAY dvd in VCD format. Im using clad dvd.net v3.4.0 and windows xp home o/s. I can rip the vob files to my HD without any problems, but when i run them through the dvd2avi program, it will extract the video, but not the audio. I've already tried searching the forums for an answer, but didnt find anything. Any ideas? has anyone tried making a backup of this dvd?

    Did you check the audio tab in dvd2avi if its set at track 1 and not at no processing?

    Castaway is one of those few DVD's that the first Audio tracks is DTS. Choose the 2nd track in DVD2AVI

    could try eazyvcd or dvd2svcd to do the conversion for you. You then wont have to mess with the settings.
