    i used my streamboxvcr to download a video from launch yahoo in asf format and the audio came fine but the video wasn't their, it was just a black screen. Please help me on fixing this.

    I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that they probably have Digital Rights Management, preventing you from downloading their video.

    If it is DRM, there isn't a way that I know of to get past it. Sorry.

    try opening it in Tmpgenc or use asf rcecorder to download it

    Try installing Windows Media Codecs 9 and try to use Windows Media Encoder 9 to encode the file. Black screen or a still picture in asf file usually means you need to install later WM Codec.
