Video freezes, but audio keeps playing

I have a video that was encoded in Divx and, I know it worked since I was able to play it fine before, it no longer plays. It will play for 10-15 secs and then the video will freeze indefinately but the audio keeps playing. I tried converting to other various formats and I keep getting errors that its format is unsupported and is unable to continue. Like I said I know the video did work before but it does not anymore. Is there any way to fix it other then recapturing it again ?

Best advice I can give:
a)try a different player. There are a lot of DivX players out there. Maybe some will work.
b)open the clip in VDub and scan for errors. Delete problem frame(s) and re-interleave it.
