I am still trying to get over this problem.

I converted a VCD of film clips using SVCD2DVD+

It all seemed to go OK.

I cna play the clips on my computer, I can play the vob files through Power DVD

But when I burn the clips to DVD, and try and play them on my stand alone, I get sound and vision for about three seconds, (although the timer does not move off 00:00) and then the sound stops and the picture freezes.

And although I own a pioneer DVD player, this is not the problem, as I tried the "pioneer fix" and that was even worse!

    Please can someone help?

    Thanks

    Tim

  4. Hey,

Nero should work ok. Did you check if your pioneer plays vcd-dvds?

It is listed as a DVD player that appears to be able to play them , but how do I check for sure?

Put a vcd/svcd in the player and see if it plays it.
    Its that simple.

His player does play his CD-R(W)s.

Find a friend who has burned a sucessful VCD/SVCD. Or if your software player can play your (S)VCDs, you probably have done it right.
    Hello.
