I am looking to get a Western Digital 250 GB Hard Drive. Which is better:

    Internal or External USB 2.0

What are the benifits of each one?

    RPM 7200

I also read something about RAID 0 configuration?? What is this?

If I buy 2 internal ones can I hook them up together as 1 drive?

  5. Yes, if your hard drive controller supports it.
However, there has been a lot of debate on whether you gain much by going with RAID.
Just what is this reality thing anyway?

Search for the discussions we've had on RAID in this forum in the last month. I used it but found no benefit over having two seperate drives, and instead switched to fast SCSI for speedy drives. And why you'd want to have a 500GB RAID set-up is beyond me. If you lose a stripe that's a heckuvalotta data you just lost

  7. Go with internal. With external, you have to deal with more of this:
