    my m8 got a pioneer 104
    is there a program other than a firmware update that can make his pioneer drive region free
    and will let him decrypt multi region dvds

    You could use DVD Region-Free for watching discs it works great. Or DVD DECRYPTER it will remove the region code for burning or making an image.
