Hi @all,
I have found out the following for my DVD player:
For SVCD i can only use the time search (GOTO) function if the scandata.dat exists and this file contains the I-frame addresses.
Other DVD player do not need this file at all.
Why this differencies?
Which player works correctly to the specification?
After updating Nero he creates the scandata.dat but he do not fill in
the I-frame addresses. Why?
So i have to create at first an image with VCDimage in order to get a
correct scandata.dat. If there an easier way to get the correct
scandata.dat?

scroll down to step 4.
4. Note! If you have Nero 5.5.6.4 or later this step is not necessary. To be able fast forward/rewind the SVCD on your standalone DVD-Player you mustownload this scandata.dat (right click on the link and select Save Target as to download it, it is just a very small textfile). Then add/drag the scandata.dat to the EXT folder of the SVCD.

Hi,
sorry that do not help.
I have a version later than 5.5.6.4 of Nero.
Nero creates the scandata.dat but he do not fill in the
I-frame addresses. The file contains only the word 'SCAN_VCD'.
But i need the I-frame addresses as well to use the time search
function.
