  1. What is the DV best capture type, 1 or 2?

    Source: Sony HandyCam via Firewire.
Using Ulead Video Studio7 to capture.

Using Media studio to edit and render to:
DVD 16:9 NTSC, Field order A, CBR 9000Kbs, MPEG Audio.

I usually capture to MPEG2 at the same setting that my rendered video will be at and smart render. This time I tried to capture DV (type-2) first then edit/render to MPEG2 but the created MPEG2 video file is jerky. I have tried Field order A and B but still jerky.

    Any thoughts?

Go with Type 2. Type 1 has some compatibility problems with several editing programs. I really like Type 2, because I can use it with AviSynth
