I installed the CDRW and have burned serveral SVCD ok. Just recently I tried to format a CDRW using Mt. Rainier. The first time I used it it worked (kind of) ok, but recently I can't burn anything on a CDRW. It starts to copy then it just freezes or reboots after copying some files. The only thing that I did was install the 4.7 adaptec aspi so VCDeasy would recognize my drive. Is there a way to uninstall adaptec's aspi layer?
Please help Im very frustrated.

Well I renamed ASPI32.sys to something else, and I got Mt. Rainier to work again, so the culprit IS Adaptec's ASPI. I still can't find a way to uninstall it completely though, any ideas?

Ok, for anyone interested, ForceASPI has a script ("killaspi") that can uninstall adaptec ASPI, so I solved my problem and everything is working fine now. (Though it's hard to imagine that no one on this forum could come up with a solution...)
peace
