Use the Demux tool in TMPGEnc to split the video and audio.

    Tyders,

its simple, just start TMPGEnc, Select File -> MPEG Tools, select simple demux, select your file and destination and it splits the MPEG into two seperate files: video and audio.

I'm not 100% sure to be honest, you may need an audio editor to 'cut' the mp2 or AC3 audio, but i'm not very experienced with either. Try Sound Forge. What I would have done is edited it as WAV.

    Good Luck with it!

You can try to cut the mpeg movie (using TMPEnc) into the right length before you extract the audio. So you wont need to use a other program.

Mpeg tools > Merge and cut. Set the desired time..
