  1. I am using a program called photojam to create slideshows on CD, the program is available from shockwave.com and I believe the file format is macromedia projector. I would like to burn these creations complete with music files to DVD but need advice on where to start eg. do this files require special conversion and what software would be required.
I am using a TDK 440N DVD Burner on an Athlon 1500XP with 1Gb ram and windows XP Home. I have searched the site for information on the above but cannot find any mention of photojam. Hope somebody can help.

Photojam looks like one of the more amatuerish slideshow programs I have seen, plus it uses a file format that you are gonna have to do some blunt force converting to get to a DVD spec.

I would suggest you try another slideshow program like Ulead or something similar that has direct to DVD burning abilities. Check this site and you'll see many different ones have been tried. You'll be happier in the long run.

  3. Thanks for your response, the reason I am using photojam is because it has a transition which mimics a turning page which simulates a wedding album, do you know of any other slideshows which offer a turning page transition.

http://www.picturetotv.com has a transition called "image peel" like a page turning. If you make your video a svcd it will then be a mpeg2 and you will be able to pull it into a dvd authoring program. if its a vcd it creates a .dat file which you have to convert to mpeg via vcdgear program. this program only produces vcd and scvd currently. one of the best features of this program is that the music and pictures/transitions will auto sync by utilizing tenths or hundredths of a second, rather than being rounded of to the second. makes for a more professional appearance.
