VXD is a virtual device driver.
Windows 2000/XP use WDM drivers, not VFW - those are only used in Windows 95, 98 and Me. There are VFW wrappers for WDM drivers in Windows 2000/XP but they don't always work and when they do the WDM driver functionality is usually restricted.
Why do you want to install a VFW driver in Windows 2000/XP ?
