  1. Hi!

How do i burn an mp3-dvd? I've got a recent version of Nero, but I've also got Burnatonce(allows longer filenames, which I prefer)

I've just bought a Pioneer, which is supposed to be able to deal with most formats, so I thought I'd have ago at it?
Has anyone got an idea as to how I should do?

How do I burn it?(what settings will have to be made, so that the player will recognize it as a dvd with mp3 files?)

  4. You have to burn the MP3's on the DVD as data. If your DVD player can read MP3, it should be able to read the data DVD.

  5. Do I burn it as UDF, Iso or Udf/Iso?

  7. Stomp Record Now Max 4.x it handles very long file names by default...it is one of the main reasons I started using it....and it doesnt capitilize them like nero does.

  8. First of all, not all DVD players can play mp3s from a DVD. You might want to check the reviews of your player. I have a Cyberhome 300 and it plays them great.

I use Nero and burn the DVD as DVD-ROM ISO (top icon) with the following checked under the ISO Tab: ISO Level 2 (31 character max), character set ASCII, and Relax ISO Restriction to allow 255 characters in path. After you add the files to Nero, double check how the filenames look...that's how they will burn.
Folders are the easy way to go and helps reduce long names. I've set folders with album titles inside folders of band names and name mp3s as "01 - song name.mp3" "02 - song name.mp3" etc. That saves the 30 character limit Cyberhome sets and keeps things clean looking.

Be sure to test your DVD player with a CD-R(W) first to see how many characters it allows (some only allow a few.) Then I'd test with a DVD(-/+)RW to make sure your player can read mp3s off a DVD.
Even if your player can't handle DVD mp3s, you will have a DVD back-up of your collection in neat folders with long file names if you follow those settings.

    Hope that helps.
