  1. Here's what I'm trying to do:

    1. Rip an original DVD and demux selected audio streams and subtitles
    2. Re-encode the movie to CVD
    3. Put 2-3 of the re-encoded CVD's on a DVD-R with the original demuxed audio streams
    4. Put selected subtitles

I'm using SmartRipper to rip, DVD2SVCD+CCE to re-encode, and Ulead DVD Workshop to author the final DVD with the original .AC3 audio streams.

What I'm struggling with is how to do the subtitles. I've looked around the forum here, but couldn't find anything in particular.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  2. Nothing.
Just mux them in together with audio (when authoring with IFOEdit). Subtitles can be basically of any resolution, regardless of resolution of video.

  3. Thanks for the quick reply, but how exactly do I mux them with the audio?! in IFOEdit? I don't see anything with relation to subtitles.. and it doesn't recognize the .sub files I have...

  4. You have to demux subs with VOBEdit (IIRC) to get .sup files and then use IFOEdit's authoring tool.
