Hey, Just wondering if this is normal. I backed-up my Pictures onto a TDK DVD-R, using the AO4 burner. The total folder size came to 4.3 gigs. This included some Avi's and many pictures and folders. Here is the details:
The folder that contained all my pictures and media clips contained:
32,000 files and 902 folders.
Now I burned the 1 folder with the above folders and files inside, at 1X, and it burned fine.
I am now trasferring the files onto another computer using a 10X DVD-rom, and it seems to be trasferring real slow. I usually have great transfer speeds when I am transferring big mpeg files from DVD to the computer. Is there a certian way to burn files to a DVD? I used primoDVD , and chose data disc.
One thing I notice, is that the light on the DVD-Rom consistently blinks, when I transfer my mpegs(which I have on DVD), back to the computer I get a solid light, and excellent speeds.
Any info would be helpful
Thanks

could be crappy media (bad reflectivity)..or maybe your DVD-ROM just doesn't like that particular media...could be a combination of both

I will reburn on a different DVD. see if there are any differences. I am using TDK, should be good.
Thanks

Well tried a different media, the same result. Maybe this is normal.
Thanks

what you can do is test your DVD on a friend's DVD-ROM..see if the same thing happens.

I tried different media, and 3 different drives. All the same. Proably because there are so many files being trasferred.
