  1. I was think about getting dvdxcopy and I would like to know when you back-up a copy of a dvd do the program put a watermark on your back-up copy and if so can it be removed.

    no watermark, just places an DVDXCopy disclaimer before the menue appears, and a insert disc 2 at the end of the movie if is split.

    Other than that programs works great. I'd get also the DVDXCopy Xpress which can compress DVDs that require 2 disks into one. DVDXCopy does not compress...

    I have never done it but I think you could use DVDshrink (free program) to re-author the DVD files and just 'crop" off that part of the files.
