Hi Folks,
I've been using the DAC 100 now for over a month. I've always used it for importing source to DV and then authoring it. Now my wife put a twist on it's use by asking me to do the oppisite of what I got it for.... Take a DVD and put it to VHS! Go figure... We have a VCR in our minivan that the baby watches his kiddie movies on. My wife got a new movie on DVD and my son watches it all the time now... Well to get to use it in the van it would need to be put on VHS. The DVD is Macro'ised thus copy protected.... So I needed to remove the Macrovision.. Not a problem for the DAC, Here is what the DAC did for me. I took my DVD player, SVHS out into the SVHS in on the DAC, connected the audio, took the RCA outputs from the DAC and connected them to the VCR, connected the SVHS output to my tv monitor. I used the TV to cue the DVD, hit record on the VCR and play on the DVD player and BANG! instant copy onto VHS! The more I use this little wonder makes me appreciate it all the more....

I've also been very happy with my recently purchased DAC-100 unit. Works nice with ScLive too. Haven't tried outputting DVD to VHS, but will be testing that as well.
