I've been trying for the last couple of days to burn all my episodes of family guy onto DVD. This will take a couple DVD's but I can't even get the first one started. They are in AC-3 2 Channel Audio so normally I would use Ulead Movie Factory but it doesn't accept AC-3 audio. I don't want to have to convert them all just to use Ulead, is there not another program out there that will let me make a simple DVD menu, drop in what episodes I want then burn it? I could really use some help, I've checked what I can on the forums and nothing seems to quite work out.

    Thanks

you can use dvd shrink to split up the episodes however you want

or ifoedit to split the episode to 2 dvds

    i use ifoedit

because episode dvds are already compressed

I use DVDShrink (the "reauthor") and just rip the main episode titles. Rip with "no compression". You can rip all the main titles from each of the episode DVDs

Then, I import each VOB as an "asset" in DVDLab-you can use each one as-is...no need to DEMUX...then author a new DVD with DVDLab, and save to a VIDEO_TS folder. (don't do too many episodes at a time-as the quality will be degraded in the next step)

Then I use DVDShrink again on the newly created folder to make it fit onto a recordable DVD...save to a new VIDEO_TS folder, and burn with NERO...

I have been able to (so far) put the first 4 discs from 14 of my Monty Python onto one DVD-R...with a simple text menu to select each episode. The quality is not as good as the original...but oh well...

I offer this because I had the same problems with the AC3 2 channel audio on the original discs...All this solved it...

    Hope this helps
