  1. I've found cheap Hong Kong based companies selling really cheap, new-release DVD, and particularly VCD.
Will these be genuine or pirate ?
There are so many dos and donts.
It was suggested to stay away from Chinese and go for Malaysian for genuine DVD ?
I've bought, as a tester - Traffic (DVD) for 83hk$(10usd)
from Hong Kong - will this be genuine ?
More newer releases (eg. The Mexican[not yet released on DVD in UK]) tend to be on VCD, not DVD - would this point to
    copy ?
Can anyone recommend cheap Malaysian sites ?

Plse, Plse help - I need a font of Knowledge to assist me
    Thanks.

    Hey.
If you have not seen new release dvds by the major studios in the U.S., chances are thy are pirated copies. The only new release dvds that would be released in Hong Kong or Malaysia before here(U.S.)are from foreign movie studios, and even then, it is no guarentee. These pirate copies could turn out to be great quality, but do you really want to deal with a supplier like that.
VCDGALLERY.com is a site that sells vcds and dvds if you're looking for a legitimate Malaysian supplier of dvds, but their selection and prices are so-so.
VIDEOMAS.com is the cheapest Malaysian supplier of vcds I have seen and they are legit as well.
EUREKAMOVIES.com is the way to go if you want vcds from Malaysia. They'll match any price(I usually submit prices from Videomas and Eureka beats them by a couple of cents)before you place the order, making them the cheapest site on the web.Their shipping charges are better than most sites and their customer service is excellent. Plus, being a VCD Help member you get 10% off your order.
I hope this has helped you somewhat, and I hope your tester purchase turns out to be legit, if not it only cost you ten bucks.
    Later.
