I'm thinking about upgrading to a 4X burner, I'm looking at the Sony 510A and the Pioneer A06. I have a stack of about 35 BeAll disks, that I can burn in my A04 with hacked firmware at 2X. I don't want to hack the FW in my new drive, but I still want to be able to burn these @ 2X. I know they burn @ 2X in the older Sony 500A, and the Pioneer A05 required a FW hack. Can either of these newer drives burn the BeAll disks @ 2X?
Bueller? Bueller?

That's what I was afraid of. Even though the BeAll's aren't sold or marked as 2X, they report as 2X capable with DVDInfo. How about the 510A, anyone?
