    I have a short wmv file that when I play opens up a webpage, does anyone know how to stop this ?

    Whay type of video? 8)

    Seriously, it's part of the wmv / asf standard. I'de love a way to strip non-a/v streams or commands out of these things. It's a security hole waiting to happen.

    Control Panel....Internet options, set you security settings to medium-high. Also, patch your computer. You can get hacked and trojaned and everything this way...very very dangerous.

    On a side not(not you specifically, users in general), if you get trojaned, and someone distributes a copyrighted song through you, guess what....the RIAA is going to supoena you. Being hacked is no exucuse!!!


    You need a firewall,and all the current patches to be relatively safe on the Internet!
