Looking for advise, I am new to this only recently just bought a Pioneer 343 player. I have been sucessfull in taking home moves with analog video camara, capture with VirtualDub with AIW pro 128 in multi part AVI format and converting to VCD with media studio, burning with Nero. Great results as good as original.
Now for the twist. I have some TNG DIVX movies that are either PAL or NTSC frame rate and size. Seem to be good quality win viewed in original size and even 200% on PC.
I want to convert those to VCD and burn them. I have used TMPGenc with default VCD (NTCS) setting to convert no errors. And then burn with Nero. Quality is poor , very blurry and blocky. The default settings have source at 1:1 and there are no boxes checked in advance. Tried it with Normal quality just to be safe.
Any suggestions or do you think that the original DIVX is just poor quality. Is there anything I can do to clean them up. Sould I try MediaStudio (it a little slower but worked for the home movies).
Frank
