OK my friend is looking for a capture card and i have been looking around for one. He just wants to capture from his vhsc camcorder and then do some basic editting on the computer and then output to either cd or vhs.
Ok i have read the quides and i have found a few products, my question is how will his system handle this.
here is the specs
P3 650mhz
128 SDram
Integrated Video Graphics
My thought was if he was goin to do this stuff that he should probably upgrade his video card. So i was thinking of him getting my card, 8500DV. Then he could do all his capturing and also have a better video graphics card. I'm not sure though if his system would handle this?

hauppauge wintv. I used it on my old Celeron 433 setup and now my 1.7 Gig machine. Forget upgrading your video card, or should I say, don't do it for the reason of improving captures or anything....
