  1. Hello many months after capturing some video I've noticed when playing the video it has a little white box with black holes moving around the video. When I open the video in a capture program and play it theres no box. What's going on and how can i fix this. I swear that wasn't happening a few months ago!

  2. Sounds like you are using a trial version or unregistered version of Elecard MPEG2 Video Decoder

    I recomend installing a program that allready has a mpeg2/svcd codec with it like

    WinDVD or
    PowerDVD

    that should solve your problems

  4. sorry i should've told you more. I'm using geforce4 ti 4200 video card to capture the video with WinProducer3 software. i have WinDVD installed

    Thats sounds like it is exactly the problem.
    I@n S, un-install the elecard codec and then follow noaht1980's advice and you will be fine.

  6. ok how do i un-install the elecard codec? Then i install winDVD again?

  7. Right click on My computer and select properties.

    Click the Hardware tab and select device manager.

    Click Hardware wizard

    Find the entry for 'Sound, video and game controllers', double click to expand the list.

    Double click video codecs

    Select the properties tab.

    Select the Elecard codec and click remove.

  9. Actualy there is no Elecard codec installed.
    The ones it has listed are:

    Ligos Indeo video 5.11

  10. Ok I found out that there is Elecard codec installed and it wasn't showing up in the device manager. It was in the Add/Remove programs.
    I removed it and the problem is fixed.
