Hello many months after capturing some video I've noticed when playing the video it has a little white box with black holes moving around the video. When I open the video in a capture program and play it theres no box. What's going on and how can i fix this. I swear that wasn't happening a few months ago!

Sounds like you are using a trial version or unregistered version of Elecard MPEG2 Video Decoder
I recomend installing a program that allready has a mpeg2/svcd codec with it like
WinDVD or
PowerDVD
that should solve your problems -
isn't that because he's using windows media player 9 and it needs to be registered?

Right click on My computer and select properties.
Click the Hardware tab and select device manager.
Click Hardware wizard
Find the entry for 'Sound, video and game controllers', double click to expand the list.
Double click video codecs
Select the properties tab.
Select the Elecard codec and click remove. -
Actualy there is no Elecard codec installed.
The ones it has listed are:
DivX 5.0 Codec
Huffyuv Lossless Codec [hfyu]
iccvid.dll
Indeo video interactive R4.5
Indeo video R3.2
Indeo Video RAW YVU9
iyuv_32.dll
Ligos Indeo video 5.11
msh261.drv
msh263.drv
msrle32.dll
msvidc32.dll
msyuv.dll
VFAPI Reader Codec v1.101 -
Ok I found out that there is Elecard codec installed and it wasn't showing up in the device manager. It was in the Add/Remove programs.
I removed it and the problem is fixed.
