  1. Hi

    I have just recently started having problems with playback of my SVCD and VCD on my DVD stand alone. The pictures have started to become pixelated and pauses with sound out of sync. All my burns were done either on fireburner or Nero with CDRW and I never used to have these playback problems before with my media (traxdata).

    Do I have to reduce the burn spead or buy newer media to resolve these problams? Or is my cd writer at fault

    Thanks.

  3. Or have you tried buring a film that you have done in the past that worked correctly ?, this will enable you to instantly identify the problem.

  4. I havn't change the process and I don't regulary keep movies on my HD for too long to test out.

    I suppose what I can do is burn something on the existing meda and then try a new media to see whether the disc's are at fault.

  5. do the old discs have problems or just the new ones being burned?
    Ejoc's CVD Page:
    DVDDecrypter -> DVD2AVI -> Vobsub -> AVISynth -> TMPGEnc -> VCDEasy

    DVD:
    DVDShrink -> RecordNow DX

    Capture:
    VirualDub -> AVISynth -> QuEnc -> ffmpeggui -> TMPGEnc DVD Author

  6. if NO encoder settings are changed, then it's prolly not a bitrate issue. too high of a bitrate (video+audio) can cause glitches

    bad media...or media getting old and not properly taken care of. usually, glitches, blocks, suttering audio, etc.... are symptoms that the dvd player is having hard time reading the media....so, even though the actual file is fine, but the media is going bad

    quick easy tests:

    1) on your computer.....same problems?

    2) on friend's dvd player....same problems?
