  1. Hi,

I'm printing some covers for DVD cases. In 9.2 I have an option to "Maximize" print area. This works super and I can use 8.5 x 11 and print close enough to the each edge to work for a DVD case.

I have tried every option I can find in OSX and just can't get it to print anywhere near as close to the edge. I'm using Photoshop.

    Any suggestions are appreciated.

    Thanks, Jerry

I unfortunately can only say... its the driver difference between the OS9 driver and the OSX driver.

Other than what your printer's border naturally is, i cant help you much other than to tell you to make it as large of an area that will allow printing still.

what type of printer do you have? maybe updating the driver?
    what version of photoshop?

  3. Thanks Galactica,

I think you're right about the driver. It's an Epson 900, I believe it has to be software related because like I said it does fine in 9.2. It's just kind of a pain having to shut down and start up in 9. I'm using Photoshop 7.

I think I'll check out Epson website as well.

    Thanks again, Jerry

could never get it to work properly under OSX.
sooo I sold it on ebay.

I got photosmart series HP printer. works like a charm.
sorry, investigate the site, see if they have a better driver.

  5. Hi,

Sorry about your trouble with the 900. I've been quite pleased printing dvd's and haven't had any trouble with OSX.

I found the solution to my problem and perhaps others wanting to print with maximum image area under OSX. When you first add your printer there are options you may include and one of them is the "maximum" print area. This solved my problem.

    Thanks, Jerry

its not that it didnt work, i just didnt like the driver.
