Ok,
I'm not sure about which type to use, using a panasonic e50, record onto a dvd-r or a dvd-ram? I can't find a dvd burner or rom drive that supports dvd-ram at any local store. I seen in a old post someone said that if you didn't have a drive that supported dvd-ram you could use dvd-r to transfer the file on your HDD.
So can you transfer the show off of a dvd-r to your HDD to add menu's and chapters or do I need to make sure I have a drive that supports dvd-ram and use that format? Also, what type of file will the disc have on it from being burned with Panasonic (.VRO) and how many files total?
Ok, say I have the .VRO(if thats the file panasonic set-tops create) on my HDD. Am I correct in assuming all I have left to do is use a authoring program like MovieFactory to add my menu's and chapters and a different program like nero to actually burn or does the authoring program burn as well ?
I see a lot of ppl say they use this method I'm just trying to figure out the process from start to finish.
Thanks
