smartripped, dvdfabed but wont clonedvd

Ok here is the deal my uncle (major camera buff) brought all his home dvd movies over and i ripped them all last week now i realized i ripped with smartripper and not in any file mode so all i have are the vobs and an ifo so i used dvdfab to make a media manager (bup files) after i made them i tried to use clonedvd to compress it but i got this error "Creation of DVD files was not successful: NavigationPack 0 VOBU 4 578782 264 TCE" what is this error? Please help as soon as possible.

something in your story doesn't add up. i will let the rest of you decide, but here is what i noticed...

you talk about your uncle being a camera buff and all these home DVD movies, and yet you mention the need to compress...

hmm...

if they are what you say they are then no compression should be needed as i'm sure the source is DVD-5 already
