  1. I've converted a few DIVX NTSC movies to PAL SVCD in my time, with no real problems (apart from a version of Crouching Tiger that I spent about a month or more downloading, only to find I couldn't get any audio out of the damn thing... )

Anyway, my problem here is with how to rip an NTSC DVD (24fps) to PAL SVCD. I've already ripped it using SmartRipper, and then DVDx-ed it to mpeg (left it at 24fps as when I told it to convert it the previous time it had that awful missing frame every second - only 8 hours wasted that time)

So, question is - how do I now convert this huge mpeg from 24 to 25 fps? VirtualDub won't open it. TMPGenc will, and I tried using the "Don't change framerate option" which made the video look fine, but the audio was miles off for some reason. HELP PLEASE!!!

  2. Downloading movie's you can not talk about on this site that's bootleg's. Any way NTSC is 23.97 or 29.97 frame's a second. I would encode with TMPG give that a try you can find it on the tool's link on this site

  3. Hehehe - but I wasn't giving, linking to, asking for, providing info on or advocating bootlegs...

Thanks for the suggestion, but I've already tried TMPGenc and, as I mentioned, it seems to screw up the Audio sync.

Btw - and purely out of interest - what sort of non-illegal DVD copying are we supposed to talk about here?

sorry m8 assumed you still had the avi
ok then you need to dvd2avi the file then in virtualdub create one very good quality divx with big bitrate so not to loose too much quality but leave it ntsc when you have the divx input it into procode to convert to pal
unless someone nos a way to frameserve to procode thats how i do it
