  1. Trendsetters
Anyone know if Cable/Sat TV Foxtel is transmitted in Widescreen?
If so, are there any tricks in capturing ws video and authoring it into DVD?

  2. My neighbour is a cable TV guy. From my conversation with him and from what I have seen (I have Optus though) it appears that at the moment only the network (seven, nine and ten) are broadcasting widescreen and only then for selected programming.

  3. Thanks....That confirms exactly what I believe.
Trying to find a reason to buy a ws TV, besides being able to enjoy movies. We watch a lot of Foxtel programs, and therefore it does not justify WS at this stage

  4. Well remember, digital & analog TV broadcasting is going to co-exist for several years in Oz yet, isn't it until 2008 or something when it goes digital only? I guess its a chicken & egg's situation, when they fall in price & they become a mass-market accepted item like DVD players are now,(in Australia), then that'll change.
