  1. I have created some svcd's with tmpgenc and vcdeasy. I used vcdeasy to create a bin/cue file. I test them first on my computer using daemon tools and msi dvd player and the resulting movie is perfect!! I have 3 different dvd players in my home and when i have burnt the bin/cue files they play differently on all 3 different players!!! on 1 it is perfect, the other the sound is out of sync (not by much but really annoying) and on the other it doesnt play at all!!! I tried for weeks/months to try and get this problem sorted but it never works perfectly on all three!!!

I have borrowed svcd's of my mates and they play fine on all my players so i used the exact same settings used to create that svcd and tried it with my own movies. No luck!!! I really dont understand what i am doing wrong. I have tried all the different tutorials, eg. extract audio seperately with vdub and goldwave used different templates etc...but i get the same result everytime.

Any info would be appreciated or even if someone were to tell me the exact specifications for a true compliant svcd to use with tmpgenc.

Thanks in advance. Ps great site!

  3. At what speed are you burning your VCDs? Never burn above 16 speed, as your stand alone DVD player may have trouble playing CDs burnt at high speeds.

  5. Consider putting in a pause prior to the start of the movie (I think one of the programs that comes with DVD2SVCD can do this). Some players just need a couple of seconds to initialize or whatever.

I've seen this "fix" work on numerous players. It's the player.
I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored.
