DAM 37%

I have tried a number of rippers and a few other things like dvd x copy. every time i try to back up my ice age movie it hangs at the 37% mark. I came accross this problem with another movie several months ago when i was into vcd's but now that i have my dvd burner i would like to make a simple movie only back up for my kid. Any ideas???

Clean the disk. It probably has dirt or finger print obstructing the lazer.

if you don't already, use smartripper or dvddecryptor to rip the files to your hdd first, then transcode them.
