There was a way to fool some DVD authoring programs into accepting a SVCD mpeg-2 as-is and putting them directl on DVD. It was a matter of changint he SVCD to read a resolution of 352x480 or 720x480 in the flags, importing it, and then changing it back before building the disc image.

m1monster, depending on how much time you want to spend on your project, you can do a simple header patch, which most of the links posted above refer to. They will let you simply import your SVCD mpeg's as if they were DVD compliant MPEGs. The benefit is little time spent, and no loss in quality. The drawbacks are that they may not be compatible on all systems (you should try a small test, preferably on RW media if your player supports RW). The other is that most multi-disc SVCD's are also commonly overlapped by about two seconds, making your playback appear to 'deja-vu' during playback. If you don't mind the drawbacks, then definately go with the patch method. If you want to remove the overlap, then you will need to edit your mpeg's, and re-encode.

I wonder if anyone has ever tried using IFOEdit to change the start timecode to remove the overlap?
Impossible to see the future is. The Dark Side clouds everything...
