DV

  1. I captured from my DV camera in a Dv format, its a 11gb chunk so i converted it using canopus dv file converter soit can be recognised in DVD2Svcd or TmpegENC, But i choosed dvd2svcd to convert that converted file to svcd, it was suceessful i was pleased with the quality but the svcd laags on my computer and even on my dvd player,
    iam thinkin to replace audio file in the file that ive outputted from dvd2svcd,
    how do i capture just audio in mp2 or mp1 from my dv cam, coz iam connected with firewire card

    wel..i wrote the same problem b4 but no1 answered
    plze help me here

    You can't. What you can do is open the DV avi in goldwave (www.goldwave.com) and save out the auid as a wav file, resampling if necessary (SVCD requires a sample rate of 44.1khz). Then you can encode the wav to mp2 in BeSweet or Tmpgenc or one of many other encoders.

    You might be doing an MPEG2 encode twice.
    If I was doing it I would open the DV file in Vdub
    check and adjust the audio sync and then
    frameserve that to CCE or TMPgenc to encode to MPEG2 SVCD

    Then VCD easy to make your SVCD


    DVD2SVCD looks like it will take an AVI as input but I've never done that
