From what Ive heard from other posts, If Movie factory does not convert the video file, the AC-3 audio will be retained even though it is not officially supported. So check off the "Do not convert compliant video" option and burn it.

My experience is DVD MF doesn't like and actually doesn't support AC3 audio. DVDIt! however will OUTPUT but not accept your audio in AC3 if you tell it so. How I cheated:
Extract AC3 file
Convert to MP2
Rename the file to .mpa
Import to DVDIt!
In Settings specify the output file to be in AC3 /Dolby Digital/
Do your authoring
Build DVD folder or image
Wait. One thing I can tell you: this program is very slow in encoding and converting.
Enjoy! -
MF2 complains at first, but ignore the .AC3 warning. As stated earlier, CHECK do not convert compliancy box. You won't get any sound in the preview, but make your Folder, and play it in WinDVD. Your audio magically will reappear. Just because it isn't supported, doesn't mean that it won't work..They'd rather want you to buy the "mucho dinero" .AC3 encoding engine.
If I remember correctly, the files must be muxed to an .MPG when you drop it on the board..
Good luck!!!!!!! -
If I remember correctly, there's a checkmark at the bottom left.

The MF2 AC-3 trick does work but it only seems to work if the video is at 29.97fps NTSC. If your video is PROGRESSIVE NTSC (23.976fps) then MF2 mucks it up somehow and the end result has a bit of stuttering on playback.

P.S.
My 23.976fps progressive NTSC has the pulldown flags properly set so that is not the problem. I just think MF2 doesn't like a NTSC video source that is 23.976fps"The eyes are the first thing that you have to destroy ... because they have seen too many bad things" - Lucio Fulci
