    I've had a recent issue develop on my External Firewire (Sony 500AX in a Pyro Case) constantly clicking when I power it on. It also doesn't want to mount up any CD/DVD's that I place in the drive. All I get is a constant spin-up and clicking noise. Is it a drive gone bad (it worked previously burning all formats of disc) or has my enclosure gone bad? I'm willing to buy another enclosure to test this out, but wanted to see if anyone else has gotten this issue before.

    Turns out that my external firewire enclosure was fried. So I put it in another case and all is well. Gotta buy a new case now.
