  1. I have some upsidedown mpg files, and i was wondering if i can flip it over without reencode so that it'll be faster. virtual dub can flip it but it only saves as .avi files . thanks in advance.

Since Virtual Dub does it for you, why not let it and frameserve it to TMPGEnc?

YOUR FILES ARE NOT UPSIDE DOWN

YOUR PLAYER IS JUST SHOWING 'EM THAT WAY

Video Appears Upside Down When You Use an AVI File

i'm kindda new to this, how do u frameserve? and as the member above stated it might be that my software is displaying incorrectly, but will my VCD player display it incorrectly if i write it to a CD?

Right now i have the same problem(if in fact its the same problem) on one machine out of 4..
My test is simple. I just play it over the network on another machine and the very same file plays right side up!
So its gotta be a software playback thing..like the WINDOWS AVI problem i linked to, but not quite cause it only affects MPEg-2 on my machine,, even mpg-1 is right side up..
Try other files in the same player..
and then the same file in other players... before you start to frame serve

Completely OFF TOPIC for TOMMY KNOCKER
Yes I was once doing well..I bought my PIONEER A03 for $750.00 us when it came out ..and i did have
formerly Liberal EX-Employer as I lost my compression job in MAY after 4 years making computer video and then DVDs
I do have 5 machines at home because I got to the point where I couldn't work on my own stuff all the time cause my one system was rendering so often
    Only 3 are p4's however
    the other 2 are PIII's

and you wouldn't believe how many free parts I got to put in these systems!
All my monitors were free with the exception of 22" Diamondtron for $199 at J&R 25 anniversary sale (what a deal)

So I build a sytem now for $300 -cause when I update Motherboard and Chip (I have everything else and i never buy the designer speed and hope they don't change the ram again!))
