  1. What do you guys think is the best TV Tuner PCI card for under $80? I will be mostly just watching TV, might capture some shows/tennis matches. I have Comcast Digital Cable... my system is on Win XP Pro SP1. I've rounded to these three cards since vendors stopped selling Asus TV Tuner cards :o( Here are the cards i picked out:

    Hauppauge WinTV (WinTV401)
    Leadtek WinFast TV2000 XP Deluxe
MSI TV @nywhere Master (8606) (Just came out last week)

    What do you guys think?
    Thanks

  2. I've owned most brands of TV Card, BT8x8 chipsets, CX chipsets, you name it.

I bought the MSI TV@nywhere a few months ago (The old version) and the clarity of picture is outstanding, D-Scaler supports it, and more and more vendors are supporting the CX chipset.
I think the only reason now to go for a BT8x8 chipset card is older application compatibility although they're still good cards.

    IMHO only.

Leadtek WinFast TV2000 XP Deluxe is a very good value, you will get TV stereo and remote for just $50.

Look at a cheap ATI. They go for $50, and the MMC 7.7 is nice on them. I believe the cheaper ATI chipsets have TIVO-like functions too like the AIW Radeon cards.
I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored.
