I beg you all to forgive me for the slightly off-topic question, but I haven't had much luck in getting an answer to this question yet. I have an old Power Mac 8600 running MacOS 8.6 that has built-in A/V inputs. I'd like to see if I can use that machine to record video from VCR tape that I could then use FFMPEGX to process into MPEG2 movies for DVD burning. I'm hoping this is a simple question, but I don't really know.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Adobe Premiere will do. Not the best quality though.
You may want to look in the ebay for a Radius Videovision Studio card. The software that comes with it works really well with the older Macs. Let me know if you need more info (Config, optimization, etc.)
