    Guys i have some work on VHS video, i need to get it on to VCD.
    I can do all the conversions from xvid/divx,avi etc, but what i need to know is how to get it onto my pc in the first place, what format it will be in and if i need any new equipment. ie what do i connect to to put the vid onto my pc?

    My pc spec

    1100 Duron
    Win 98
    256mb
    64mb mx400 (with tv out i think)
    10g hd

    anything else????

    For hardware you will need a capture [video input] card, bigger/faster HD, and a cd burner.
