  1. I recently posted a file size formula from TMPG's website. I could also swear that there was a formula to figure out how long the encoding process would take. I cannot for the life of me find it. Just curious to see how accurate it is. Anyone got a link?

  2. it depends on what filters you use, and if you use vbr or cbr,
and what motion search precision you use,and what resolution is your source, etc......
the best thing to do is encode 1 minute and then make the
    calculation by that resolt.
you will get a pretty good idea of what the encoding time will be.

I'd think that any table like that would be highly speculative, considering the limitless possibilities for configuring a PC, both hardware and software-wise.

you and I could be running identical hardware, yet different software (not TMPGenc, but everything else on the system) and get significantly different encode times due to the way our system is configured...

sometimes benchmarks are so abstract as to be almost worthless...
