has anyone captured pal vhs with this card ,and will the capture still have blocking or artifact problems.and does it matter what capture card u use .like would a geforce 280 vivo be just as good or would the canopus just leave it standing

I have the ADVC50 which is basically the 100 without the extra bells and whistle. Both can be set to capture either NTSC or PAL through jumper settings (? - at least on the 50) on the device. Capture is more less as good as the source. So if your source is good, the capture is most likely come out good. I don't have an VIVO so I can't compare it.

You could also check out the DAC100 by Datavideo. It works just like the Canopus, but it is cheaper.
