    Do you think the new Intel P4's with Hyper-Threading technology are just jokes and really prove little benefit?

    Okay I have to say it is not a sales gimmick. Look at this performance chart (from tomshardware.com) based on encodind a DV file to Mpeg2.



    Significant increase I think. The P4 2.4 ghz w/800 fsb outperforms the P4 2.8 ghz w/o HT. I believe it was a excellent move on intels part until the P5 chips start coming out.

    Well I can't argue with the stats but do you know for sure that a P5 chip is on it's way?
