ok i just posted a question about getting a screen shot of a part of a AVI file.... i was wondering i downloaded PowerDVD and it just does the same as before.... which is carrying on the movie when i try to copy and paste it in to paint... i downloaded WinDVD but i don't know how to take a screen shot

Using PowerDVD:
Run PowerDVD, click the button (little envelope)*open media file* and browse to and double click your video file, then click "OK"
Play or scroll to the position you would like your ScreenShot then click "Pause" (if you want to) then click the small camera button (screenshot) to take the shot. You can, and should, 'right click' the camera button and select "capture to file" and "capture current screen size" beforhand. The snapshot will be put in "My Pictures" folder as PDVD_000.BMP. Additional shots will be number thereafter.
Then run "Paint", or your photo program, browse to and open the BMP photo. Done.
Fairly easy once you figure out their buttons.
